Dilemma of Relationships

One of the perpetual problems one faces in life is in dealing with relationships. When I say relationships it could be anything from relationship between oneself with God, Humans, politics,ideology favourite team,etc..

For starters, let us take our relationship with the world for examination.

Consider our life as a Game. We get to play the game only until we get killed.

One remarkable difference in a game is that it is designed for finite possibilities only. Whereas life throws infinite possibilities except death. Who knows!! One day Immortality could be a possibility.

Now, each one has different styles of playing the game. Take Dravid and Sehwag in the universe of Test Cricket as an example. Dravid played in a conventional style which the world expected. He adopted himself to the way the universe of Test cricket was played. On the other hand, Sehwag defied the world. He played a style of Cricket that was diametrically opposite to the way Test cricket was perceived as the style to be played..

One can never prove with binary evidence that one style is superior over the other.

Similarly, take the classic Concept of God!

Neither Parties can prove with binary evidence that one is Correct and other is not!

One of the positive things about being on either sides is the certainty and clarity one has in dealing with the situation.

As you go towards the middle from either extreme, the level of conviction and certainty decreases because you’re less sure of what’s an appropriate mode of engagement in any particular situation leading to all sorts of confusion and inefficiency in the mind.

When faced with a choice, people in the middle aren’t sure whether they should accept things as they are or try to change the circumstances(world) around them leading to an ultimate stalemate as one would call it in the Game of chess.

Take human relationships as a subject of scrutiny.

The dilemma for a father in dealing his Son/Daughter as a friend or as they are. The dilemma for a husband in dealing with his wife and mother. The dilemma of a Friend dealing with his Old friends and the new Girlfriend.

The dilemma's in dealing with relationships is everlasting. However, one thing that I believe maybe of help is in being consistent with the personality that you are and showing the personality that you are to the world helps in avoiding confusion and chaos.
